After just a few weeks on the Emerald Isle, we are so smitten with life here that we have let our mooring on the Bridgewater Canal go. While not writing off boating in England again, we are struggling to think of reasons (other than family and friends) for doing so. What would be giving up by coming back? Well....
We would miss the wide open spaces
Early one morning on Lough Ree We would miss the views
We would miss mooring in the middle of nowhere with just Coots for company

We would miss mooring in the middle of nowhere with like minded souls for company

Jill has loads of great ruins to paint here

And some inspiring views to capture
We would miss sailing Eric’s Tjalk ( and Eric, Ted, Joelle and all the other great souls that we now hang out with) That just a couple of months here can leave such an impression speaks volumes for Ireland and the Irish. The only downside is that everyone seems to know what we do for a living and we are being inundated with work enquiries! It seems we may well be here for a good while yet.
